R.E.M. EXHIBIT IN BELGRADE

Belgrade Art Gallery O-ZONE is currently hosting an exhibition of R.E.M. “artefacts” in Belgrade, Serbia. The exhibition, which opened on January 17th, is a celebration of the artwork of R.E.M. and culminates with the band’s concert in Belgrade today:

Through the selected works—music videos, interviews, live performances and visual material, [the] exhibition aims to point to the main life and art attitudes of the members of the group as well as to reveal their relation and reaction to the contemporary world and time in which we live.

According to O-Zone’s website, “A special aspect of the exhibition will be related to the materials gathered from their local fans, showing the cult position of this band in the local setting.”
